1. Introduction

PMJ Tech, as a venture firm founded on March 19, 2004, intends to pioneer eco-friendly industry of traditional manufacturing and wooden furniture with natural antibacterial coating of lacquer.

We have launched brand of ‘Kneechair’ as a development of innovative products. KneeChair was confirmed as a business item based on patent of ‘assist device for medical and health’ and 3patents of ubiquitous furniture was added in 2005 for medium and long term business plan. Now KneeChair is actively being sold since launch in 2017.

‘KneeChair’ is in demand from religious group, medical center, rehabilitation center and yoga institution. As of January 2018, it has been continuously loved from consumers with record of 120,000 pieces accumulated sales. It has shown to domestic broadcasting and distributing channel is well developed through our own online shopping mall and online abroad/domestic market such as Alibaba, Taobao and Rakuten. Now we are exporting our products to abroad including Japan, China, Netherlands, Belgium and so on.

2. Vision

PMJ technology is enhancing strengths and complementing weaknesses of traditional manufacturing industry by accumulated technologies, experiences and knowhow for many years in wooden furniture industry and by identifying and analyzing consumer’s needs with application of new technologies complying with rapidly changing times.

We are leading development of eco-friendly new materials through application of natural antibacterial coating namely lacquer to many materials such as woods, fabrics, and leathers and PMJ technology is having competitiveness with these our own brand identity.

Furthermore, we are making an effort to creation of consumer’s value beyond value of living space by ergonomic approach differentiated from other chairs in order to contribute to consumer’s quality of life.

We have been researching and developing next generation of office ‘KneeChair’. Prototype of new model was produced and it will be launching in the first half of 2018.

By 30~80% of total sales is reinvested in R&D, we have been grown as professional company in core R&D. * What is the KneeChair?

“KneeChair” combines the words ‘knee’ and ‘Chair’and it refers to a kind of chair that allow users to sit comfortably even over long time in a kneeling position.

*How does the KneeChair work?

The Curved surface of the KneeChair allows the user to sit in an ergonomically correct position which equally disperses weight on the pelvis, thus relieving overall body fatigue.

* Characteristics of the KneeChair

The KneeChair relives pressure on the body’s mid-region by dispersing the weight of the upper body into the pelvis and hip joint in order to maintain correct posture.

The KneeChair provides comfortable support even when sitting for long periods of time.

The ergonomically correct angle of the KneeChair helps to maintain a straight waistline and users feel relaxed regardless of how long they sit.
